FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TV interview with Dr. Gina Miller from Healing Touch and Author/Publisher Ivette Attaud
March 31, 2011 – Bronx, New York - Author/Publisher Ivette Attaud, CEO of My Life My Soul, The Unspoken Journey of Life After Domestic Abuse and of MLMS Publishing, discusses the release of her first book with TV show host Dr. Gina Miller on Thursday, March 31 at 8:00 pm on Bronxnet TV channel 70 and will stream live at www.Bronxnet.org.
"The objective is to initiate a dialogue about the connection between teen dating violence and domestic violence, as well as living life to the fullest after surviving an abusive relationship,” says Ivette. She continues, “Getting the word out about my book will help a lot of people.”
The statistics are staggering. Females ages 16-24 are more vulnerable to intimate partner violence than any other age group. 32 million American men, women and children have experienced some form of physical violence and/or abuse. Nearly 74% of Americans personally know someone who is or has been a victim of domestic violence.
In her book, Ivette describes in graphic detail the abuse and violence she endured as a teen while dating her abuser and as a military wife while living on Fort Bragg. Ivette includes actual court documents and excerpts while she reveals how she was able to break the psychological and emotional chains of her abuser. My Life My Soul serves as a much-needed guide and source of inspiration for survivors of domestic violence, their loved ones, parents of teens and professionals who work with those in abusive relationships.
