Join me on Saturday, February 13 on My Life My Soul Talk Radio with special guest Tanya Mcleod as we talk about the link between domestic violence and animal abuse.
As a former member of Voices of Women Organiziang Project, I had the pleasure of meeting Tanya, a very dynamic young woman, a few years ago. Tanya is an organizer and member of Voices of Women Organizing Project (VOW) is not only a survivor of domestic violence but also a voice of empowerment through her advocacy, speeches and training sessions. As an organizer at VOW, Tanya spear-heads a campaign to stop false and malicious reporting of child abuse by batterers. Tanya is an accomplished speaker and has spoken at rallies, conferences, on the radio, television and cable television. She is featured on the documentary, “Tanya’s Story” which brings awareness to the link between domestic violence and animal abuse. Her goal is to turn her pain into power and to end domestic violence. The trailer for Tanya’s Story can be accessed here.
Also joining us will be Susan Urban and Elaine Wolfe who conduct seminars using Tanya’s Story as a teaching tool.
Join us in the discussion, Saturday, February 13 at 11 am EST on My Life My Soul Talk Radio! Call into the show at 646-716-5556 to share your comments!
